Sometimes it’s not just guilt, but also perfectionism. We fear that if we don’t handle things ourselves, they won’t be done correctly. We avoid delegating, even when we’re feeling swamped. The consequence? Burnout. And when we’re worn out, our spiritual abilities can become clouded. Our connection with our higher self, spirit, and the divine can become harder to reach. Self-care is not a luxury — it’s imperative. For those in the psychic, medium, or healing professions, it’s crucial to our practice.

Ultimately, the paradox of existing as a psychic in today’s world is this: we are both grounded and uplifted, human and spiritual, vulnerable and wise, physical and metaphysical. We are here to assist, but we are also here to live. To fail. To face challenges. To develop. To acquire wisdom. One day, while shopping for Christmas decorations, I stumbled upon several cute little wooden octagonal pedestal tables offered at a very reasonable price — just the right dimensions for comfortable use. They work wonderfully.
