The customer was delighted and explained that she urgently required a reliable blender as she was expecting family over and needed to prepare meals for several days. She was constrained financially and unable to purchase a brand new blender amongst other costs as the host.

My immediate thought was: of all the minutes, hours, and days of the week, what a curious coincidence that I was right there to get my beloved old blender functioning! Being at the right place at the right time? I suppose “good fortune” and “pleasant coincidence” undoubtedly served us all exceptionally well that day!

This experience also brought me much happiness during a transitional period in my life. While it’s always heartening to know that my donations support animal rescue efforts, it felt even more gratifying to witness something as simple as a kitchen blender enhancing someone else’s life.

I now understand that my angels prevented me from going to work that specific day for a significant purpose. I’ve also come to realize that there were still important tasks for me to complete, which ultimately kept me safe from potential harm or worse.

The day of the highway incident is etched in my memory forever. It was September 3, 1999, a day when I requested to be excused from work, something I rarely did. At the time, I was an office manager at a tool shop, under the supervision of a rather arrogant accountant who had control issues over the team.

I had been employed there for multiple years without requesting additional time off, yet he declined my request. He believed I shouldn’t have a day off because it was a long weekend coming up for us in Canada. Due to the Labor Day holiday, I would have enjoyed a four-day weekend instead of a mere three-day break.

He then threatened that my job would be at stake if I took the day off since he disapproved and had no plans to reconsider his decision. However, my intuition strongly urged me that I absolutely could not work that day; I simply had to take it off. I was unaware of the reason back then; I just knew that staying home was necessary.

The only option I saw, given the threat to my job, was to go above his authority to the owner and secure the day off regardless! I was grateful to the angels for that later.

While some labeled the Angel of Mons as a myth, the general populace preferred to believe that a spiritual force had prevented a German advance. After all, miraculous events can take place anywhere, can’t they? These occurrences were later popularized by Arthur Machen’s fictional tale The Bowmen.
